Graham and I are thrilled with this wonderful painting we commissioned from Suzanne. It really sets off our living space and reminds us constantly why we moved to this beautiful island.

‘The Jewel in the Crown’ is available to view any time on my website www.suzanneart.co.nz
. if you are in Devonport, ‘Flagstaff Gallery’ in the main street has some of my work on display. It’s a nice place for coffee and lunch. Catch the ferry from Auckland if you don’t want to drive.

Cool Cow

Join me in this step by step painting process. From the blank canvas this cute cow will emerge through the strokes of my brush into the finished work. She is 1 meter by 1 meter with gentle eyes.

Hot Tip for artists to preserve your valuable brushes

NEVER USE TURPS to clean your brushes instead use artists quality LINSEED OIL.
FINALLY with a little water, slurry up your brush on a cake of “THE MASTER’S” SOAP FOR ARTISTS; available in most PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS SUPPLY SHOPS.
When all the paint has been gently removed, rinse the brush well in clean water, smooth the bristles and leave to dry flat.
Not only does this method preserve your precious brushes but unlike TURPS, it is NOT TOXIC and it is A GOOD CHOICE FOR OUR PLANET.
Happy painting!
